Beth Bowman is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor and holds a master's degree in guidance and counseling from the University of West Georgia. She has over 31 years of clinical experience in a variety of mental health settings, from public to private, crisis intervention to private practice. She has provided clinical and administrative supervision to clinicians as well as project management for crisis services. Beth has worked with individuals throughout the life span. Beth's approach emphasizes the mutual development of goals and ongoing assessment of the therapeutic relationship. Beth is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Counseling and Crisis Intervention. Beth's work emphasizes self compassion, building supports and the cultivation of resilience for a successful life experience.
Beth is also a lifelong martial artist and includes work on body awareness, grounding, nurturing intuition and the discovery of one's own voice for boundary setting and empowering self defense. "It's not about making everyone a martial artist; I integrate my skills as a therapist and assist women in cultivating their own resilience and embodied strength."
